Franklin's Promise

Upon founding The University of Pennsylvania, Benjamin Franklin wrote that when the students have "...gone through their studies and are to enter the world, the trustees shall zealously unite, and make all of the interest that can be made, to promote and establish them, whether in business, marriages, offices, or any other thing for their advantage..."

The Penn Club is the fulfillment of Franklin's Promise. The 13-story historic landmark club house building provides a place and resources for its alumni members and their family to make all the interest that can be made, to promote and establish them (whereas most private clubs only enable you to join when you have already been established), offer working space in the business center, meeting rooms, affordable guest rooms to stay over and fun and educational activities to meet fellow members. Several benefits and discounts are are also offered to each Penn Club member, adding even more value to their membership.
